NYRRT Assists at Brooklyn Arson Fire

On June 14, 2019, at 4am, an arson attack took place in Midwood, Brooklyn against the vehicle and home of a prominent religious leaders, allegedly by someone with a grudge against him. The fire spread to two other homes. NYRRT respond to this communiuty emergency and assisted with operations, working in tandem with other community response agencies. The FDNY did a heroic job controlling this massive accelerant driven fire, and all residents were sparred due to having working smoke detectors. In all, 13 people were injured, inluding a baby, and four New York City firefighters, all with non-life threatening injuries. Immediately, the FDNY Fire Marshals, the NYPD, ATF, and FBI were working on leads to track down the perpetrator.
